The scroll told him old stories about kings, secret doors, and hidden treasures. Elion listened very carefully. Every day after school, he returned to the library to learn more. One afternoon, the scroll told him about a closed box under the tallest oak near the village. Elion took a small shovel and went there. He dug carefully, with a big heart. There was the box, made of wood, with golden lines. Inside, he found old coins and a letter. The letter said: “Knowledge is the true treasure.” From that day on, Elion shared the stories with the other children. The library filled with laughter and wide eyes. The whispering scroll never spoke again, but its magic lived on in Elion’s stories.
